Tablot Gold is a gold-mining and banking company of Nouvelle Alexandrie, seated at Gotfriedplatz in the Isles of Caputia. One of the oldest financial houses of the region, it traces its origins to the Hammish period, when the gold of Gotfriedplatz first underwrote the city's rise as a center of finance.[1]
History
Gotfriedplatz has been the financial center of the archipelago since the Hammish period. The gold mined from the hills around the city underwrote the growth of a banking industry there and carried it into the principal share index of the Commonwealth of Hamland.[1] Tablot Gold, seated in the city, grew into the largest gold exporter of Hamland; its mines were reckoned a national asset and were garrisoned as one.[1]
Operations
The company remains a mainstay of the economy of the Isles of Caputia, working the gold of the region and carrying on the banking and financial business that grew up around it.[1] It is based at Gotfriedplatz, which continues as the commercial capital of the region and among the most populous cities of the Federation, and it trades in the common federal currency, the New Alexandrian écu.[1][2]
