Sunrise Bay
Sunrise Bay is an Aldurian television soap opera. It was first broadcast on Channel 7 in 1675 AN and later moved to NABC when Channel 7 ceased broadcasting in 1675 AN. It was created by TV executive Frank Rossitano to fill the gap in the schedule left open when the smash hit Natopian soap opera Dos Gardenias Para Ti was canceled due to labor disputes. Channel 7 commissioned the show for three episodes a week with a cast of just 14. Within 12 months of broadcast, the show was so popular with audiences that the cast was doubled and a fourth episode was added to the weekly schedule. It is the longest-running drama series in Aldurian television.
The show's storylines concern the domestic and professional lives of the residents of Sunrise Bay, a fictional suburb located in Santa Paula, Alduria. Sunrise Bay is a coastal community plagued by a centuries-old curse. The show follows the medical staff of Sunrise General Hospital, predominantly the head of surgery, Dr. Vivienne Blake. Stories also revolve around Blake's co-workers at Sunrise General Hospital, and how they deal with patients and the practice while still finding time to live their everyday lives.
Through its entire run, Sunrise Bay has been screened as a twenty-two-minute episode, four days a week. Currently, Sunrise Bay is shown at 5.30 pm on NABC. The show is produced by the Rossitano Company and is also shown in Ransenar and the Wechua Nation.
