Sargon II Azulpolassar
Eldest son of Sargon Azulpolassar. A relatively non-notable figure in the politics of The Hexarchy. Passed up the praetorship to Naram-Sin Azulpolassar, removing himself from the line of succession. He was born in 1702 AN to Praetor Sargon and Mako Himeji, a Ralgonese socialist from Kobol (herself belonging to a settler community formed prior to the Hexarchy's annexation of the region in 1685 AN. He is 59 years old.
In 1744 AN, he married Nefertari Sedjet, daughter of Pschent Sozer V of Karnak. He has an 16-year-old son, named Sneferu Azulpolassar in keeping with the ancient Karnak tradition. This son, born on 1745 AN, is heir-presumptive to Praetor Naram-Sin Azulpolassar. Due to the ill-health of Praetor Naram-Sin, he took no spouse nor had any children, and has no remaining siblings either interested or eligible for succession to the throne.
Sargon II (as he is currently known to the public) is thought by political elites to be aligned far more closely to Karnak than Eridu in their ongoing power struggle as the Praetor continues to weaken.
