The Sancrus Music Festival 2023 (Vegnian: 2º Festival della Canzone Vegnese di Sancrus 2023) was the 2nd edition of the annual Sancrus Music Festival, a television song contest held in the Teatro Aldiston of Sancrus, organised and broadcast by VAI. The show was held between on 26 March 2023, and was presented for the second time in a row by Michele Buonanotte, who also served as the artistic director for the competition, with Gigi D'Alessio, winner of the 2022 edition, co-hosting.
For the first time in the Festival history there are 28 entries and the winner will participate as vegnese entry for the Microvision Song Contest.
The edition was won by Colapesce and Dimartino with the song "Splash", which represented Vegno in the 2023 Micrasvision Song Contest.
Format
The 2023 edition of the Sancrus Music Festival took place at the Teatro Aldiston in Sancrus, Falange, organized by the vegnese public broadcaster VAI. The artistic director and the presenter for the competition is Michele Buonanotte, for the second consecutive year.
Presenters
On 30 March 2022, three days after the final of the 2022 edition, VAI officially confirmed Michele Buonanotte as the presenter of the 2nd edition of the Sancrus Music Festival. Together with Buonanotte, Gigi D'Alessio serves as co-host in the night of the festival.
Voting
Voting occurred through:
- Public televoting, carried out via landline, mobile phone, the contest's official mobile app, and online voting by all Vegnese Citizens.
The final ranking determines the first 3 in the ranking, which are subjected to a further vote by the public, which finally determines the winner.
- Pressroom Award is chosen by the pressroom
- "G. Truppi" Thropy is chosen both by pressroom and demoscopic jury with a 50:50 vote.
Show
The Show is made up of one unique night, done on 26 March 2023, where all the artists performed live in front of the public at the Aldiston Theater.
Special guests of the night:
- Gigi D'Alessio, who serves as co-host of the festival, and performs with his song "Un Nuovo Bacio", winner of the previous year.
- Papu J. Papasso and Marco M. Unno as hosts
