Saint Kalmoetza or Sint-Kalmoetza was the name given by President Petrvs Fidelis to Flanders' largest peninsula, located within the Province of Ambetanterijk.

Controversy

On June 4th, 2010, in a surprise movement, President Petrvs Fidelis published what he called a "Concordat" between himself and the Flemish Hetorodox Church, headed by himself. In this, he claimed that, since the status of Flanders' territory on Micras had not been codified by law, it was within his powers the grant the peninsula which he called Sint-Kalmoetza to the Flemish Heterodox Chuch as the "Autonomous Heterodox Area of the Praised and Holy Saint Kalmoetza", to be administered by the Order of the Holy Undecity (or 'Elevenhood') (Orde van de Heilige Elfvuldigheid), headed by the church's patriarch. The Order was allowed to use the peninsula as a military base in complete sovereignty, but on the other hand, Flanders would have been expected to represent the area's interests abroad. In case of an unilateral abrogation of the treaty, the abrogating party could dispose of the area as it pleases. This gave, in effect, a right of seccession to the area. The President subsequently attempted to register the area's alleged new status with the MCS, which quickly put the matter on hold.

Being a concordat, he claimed that it didn't need the approval of Parliament, as a real treaty would.

This concordat met with widespead disapproval from the Flemish public. Parliament, which had been dissolved, was reconvened by its vice-chairman Erwin V.H., which adopted a bill officialising the status quo ante. At the same time, it deposed President Fidelis, citing breach of Flemish law during the organisation of the ongoing parliamentary elections as reason.
