The River Skallefei Curling Club is a curling club located in eastern Alexandretta, Meckelnburgh, named after the river that flows through downtown Alexandretta. It is a founding member of Royal Curling Meckelnburgh, organized prior to the founding of the league. The club lies in the Alexandretta Regional Association. It is the largest curling club in Meckelnburgh.

River Skallefei CC has been the favorite club of many members of the Meckelnburghish royal family. It was also the club of the league’s first patron, Their Royal Highness Prince Valoro (namesake of the Prince Valoro Curling & Icestock Center). River Skallefei CC boasts the most national championship titles by any single club in mixed four’s (6) and U-18 curling (10).

River Skallefei CC puts forward teams in all makeups (though does not have an icestock component). The club’s popularity limits its membership to invitation, patronage or successful try-outs, one of the only so limited in Meckelnburgh.

Clubhouse

The River Skallefei CC clubhouse is the largest in Meckelnburgh, having a capacity of 1,250 and four sheets of ice. It opened in 1598 AN and is now a historic landmark. While once the largest arena in Meckelnburgh, the clubhouse now serves to compliment the Percy National Curling Center during the annual Superspiels, and regularly hosts regional and local bonspiels. It has a restaurant, bar and hosts the national museum of the Royal Meckelnburgh Curling Association. The clubhouse is considered the “cultural heart” of Meckelnish curling.
