REGISTRATION OF OVERSEAS NEW ALEXANDRIAN NATIONALS ACT, 1696
Ordered, by the Cortes Federales of Nouvelle Alexandrie,

BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Cortes Federales, in this present 1st session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
PART I
GENERAL PROVISIONS.1. CITATION.
- This Act shall be officially cited as the “Registration of Overseas New Alexandrian Nationals Act, 1696”.
2. PERSONS AND INFORMATION SUBJECT TO REGISTRATION.
- Any national of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie who stays in a certain area of a foreign country with the intention of residing or staying there continuously for a period in excess of 90 days shall register under this Act.
- Any overseas New Alexandrian national who intends to register under this Act (hereinafter referred to as "overseas New Alexandrian national subject to registration") shall register the following matters with an embassy, a consulate general, a consulate, a sub-consulate, or a consulate branch office (hereinafter referred to as "diplomatic mission of registration") of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie that has jurisdiction over their address or residence:
- Name;
- Passport number;
- Place of registration;
- Military service;
- Date of the first entry into the country of stay (referring to the date of re-entry where a person leaves the country of stay to another country and re-enters the country of stay after more than 90 days);
- Purpose and status of stay;
- Address or residence in the country of stay (where there exists a separate address registered with the government of the country of stay, such address shall also be stated);
- Telephone number in the country of stay;
- Occupation and the name of the institution to which they belongs in the country of stay (limited to where a person has an occupation and belongs to an institution);
- Email address (limited to where a person has an email address);
- Contact information of a relative(s) in the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie (limited to where a person has a relative in the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie).
- When any registered matters in each subparagraph of Article 2 change, a registered overseas New Alexandrian national shall report such change as soon as possible.
- If a registered overseas New Alexandrian national changes their address or residence and belongs to the jurisdiction of a different diplomatic mission of registration, they shall file a report on the change of address or residence to the head of a diplomatic mission of registration having jurisdiction over their new address or residence (hereinafter referred to as "head of a diplomatic mission of registration at new address") as soon as possible, notwithstanding (3).
3. REGISTRATION WITH NEW ALEXANDRIAN DIPLOMATIC MISSIONS.
- Any overseas New Alexandrian national subject to registration shall register with the relevant diplomatic mission of registration within 90 days from the date of having their address or residence in a certain area of a foreign country.
- Any overseas New Alexandrian national shall be prohibited from filing duplicate registrations.
- The head of the diplomatic mission of registration shall keep the overseas New Alexandrian national register within the diplomatic mission concerned and regularly submit updated copies of such register to the Department of State.
- Any overseas New Alexandrian national subject to registration desiring to register in a country without a New Alexandrian diplomatic mission shall proceed to file their register at their nearest Raspur Pact nation embassy or diplomatic mission.
4. REPORT ON RETURN FROM OVERSEAS.
- Where a registered overseas New Alexandrian national returns from overseas with the intention of residing or staying continuously in the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie for a period exceeding 90 days, they shall report such fact to the Secretary of State as soon as possible after their return from overseas.
- Where a registered overseas New Alexandrian national falls under any of the following cases, the Secretary of State or the head of the relevant diplomatic mission of registration shall cancel their registration:
- Where they reports their return from overseas;
- Where they does not reside continuously in their registered area for a period in excess of 183 days;
- Where they resides continuously in the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie for at least 183 days;
- Where they lose their nationality of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie or die.
5. METHODS OF REGISTRATION AND REPORT, DATA REQUESTS.
- The applications for registration and for issuance of a certified copy of the overseas New Alexandrian national register, a report on change, a report on change in address or residence, and a report on return from overseas under this Act may be filed in the following methods, as prescribed by law or Royal Decree:
- Documents;
- Facsimile;
- Secure electronic methods;
- Other secure methods that may be created in the future that may facilitate security and ease of registration and updating information, as determined by the Secretary of State.
- The Secretary of State may request the heads of relevant agencies to provide the following data on a person subject to the cancellation of registration under this Act, which are necessary to conduct fact-finding investigations in order to ascertain such person’s:
- Data concerning entries into and departures from the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie;
- Data concerning the loss or acquisition of nationality of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
- The heads of relevant agencies who are requested to provide data shall not refuse such requests without proper and good cause.
PART II
FINAL PROVISIONS.6. COMMENCEMENT AND APPLICATION.
- This Bill shall apply to all of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
- This Bill shall not become law unless it has been given Royal Assent.
- In the event any provision or part of this Bill is found to be invalid or unenforceable, only that particular provision or part so found, and not the entire Bill, will be inoperative.
