Regiment (Raspur Pact)
The Regiment, in the armed forces of Raspur Pact member states, is generally a deployable military formation with a specific primary combat or combat support function. In some member states the regiment retains a responsibility for the performance of ceremonial duties, the recruitment of volunteers, induction of new recruits, individual morale and esprit de corps, and administrative roles (such as pay), in addition to combat duties. The Sanaman Army and Grand Army of Ransenar also have administrative regiments that serve as a parent formation for staff and training units tasked with the indoctrination and instruction of personnel based on their assigned combat role.
A deployable regiment will normally consist of ten squadrons. Alternatives equivalents to the deployable regiment include the battalion, typically encountered in the Sanaman Army where the parent units of most personnel are the administrative corps relevant to their combat role or specialism, and the demi-brigade, which is found in the Military of Alduria-Wechua where the traditions of Alexandria have been preserved in the legion raised amongst that empire's diaspora.
