Pie and mash is a Florian working-class food, originating in the industrial areas of Northcliff, considered "a Northcliff classic". It typically consists of a minced beef pie served with mashed potato and a parsley sauce known as liquor, with malt vinegar as a condiment. Pie and mash shops have been in Northcliff since the 16th century and are still common in East and South Northcliff, as well as many parts of Kingsland and Victoria. Pie and mash is a popular meal at football matches and can be found in nearly all football grounds in Floria.
