The Anahuaco Liberal Party (Martino: Partido Liberal Anahuacano) is a poltical party founded in Anahuaco in the year 1700.

The party is the oldest political party still in existence in Anahuaco, having been formed prior to the establishment of the modern Empire. The Liberal Party consistently takes part in governing coalition and has been the largest party in the Congreso Honorable del Imperio on several occasions. It currently holds 127 seats in the 500 seat congress.

Ideology

Throughout its history, the party has shifted positions on the political spectrum repeatedly. Having been founded as a socially conservative, economically liberal party, the Liberals have traditionally been seen as centrist. In recent times, the party has positioned itself on the center left of the spectrum, supporting limited government intervention in the economy and tax reforms to fund education.

Priorities

The Liberal Party has consistently argued for a hardline military stance against the Republicanos Anahuacanos, supporting the ongoing campaign to enforce state control over the full territories of the Empire.

The party, as its name suggests, pursues progressive liberal social policies, including supporting rights for LGBT individuals and Las Originales (the indigenous peoples of the territories now controlled by Anahuaco). Additionally, the party is known to strongly support increased education spending, arguing that the national economy needs to transition away from agriculture and heavy industry.

The Liberals advocates for community cohesion, supporting planning reforms and integration programs to promote mixed income level communities.

Electoral Support

While the party consistently performs well in national elections, the level of support they receive differs widely based on geographical location. The party's supporters are heavily concentrated in big cities, particularly Ciudad de Anahuaco.
