Lichens are unique organisms formed by a symbiotic relationship between fungus and algae or cyanobacteria. The fungus provides structure and protection, while the alga or cyanobacterium performs photosynthesis to produce food. Lichens grow in a variety of environments on Micras, from trees to rocks and boreal to tropic climates. They are also known to inhabit Micran fauna, such as Gigantanthropus morovia, the Morovian Sasquatch.
