2025–26 Osterwald Bundesliga season

The Osterwalder Bundesliga is a professional association football league in Osterwald and the highest level of the Osterwalder football league system. The competition decides the Osterwalder national football champions, as well the country's entrants for the various Keltian cups run by EMUFA.

The first season is set to commence in September 2025 and finish in May 2026. It will be contested by 12 teams.

Structure

The Bundesliga is composed of 12 teams.

Every team in the Bundesliga must have a licence to play in the league, or else they are relegated into the State leagues. To obtain a licence, teams must be financially healthy and meet certain standards of conduct as organisations.

The Bundesliga uses a Florian system of promotion and relegation:

  • The bottom two finishers in a 3 year average league placing table are automatically relegated to the 2 Liga, with the top two finishers in the 2. Liga taking their places.
  • The third-from-bottom club in the average table will play a two-legged tie with the third-place team from the 2. Bundesliga, with the winner taking up the final place in the following season's Bundesliga.

The season starts in September and lasts until May.
