Orion (manufacturer) is a manufacture and developer of motorcycles, snowmobiles, and ATVs registered and based in the Ciric Confederacy, and is a subsidiary company of the Andromeda Tech Corporation. Orion is headquartered in Stonewall, in the Wrighthaven constituent governorate of the confederacy, and maintains its main assembly plant and development laboratory in the city. Orion itself produces most of its vehicles, but its motorcycles are produced by a minor subsidiary called Arkahv Motorcycles, which is based in the city of Avok-Tei; Arkahv Motorcycles have been owned by Orion since their purchase in 1661 AN, two years after Orion itself was bought by the Andromeda Tech Corporation.

Orion is also known for its organisation of three different professional motor racing events, two of which Orion itself maintains a corporate team for. Orion is also responsible for the maintenance of five different courses for these races.

Orion is also occasionally contracted by military forces, with the company's division of Orion Defence manufacturing of ATVs and motorcycles specifically for military forces, including the Orion Cascade motorcycle designed for urban environments as well as modified Foxhound ATVs for off-roading. Orion has also been contracted due to its expertise in the use of verakium for hover technology.

Racing

Orion Racing is one of the largest teams in the racing of ATVs and motorcycles, and is one of the integral parts of the confederate National Association for Non-Standard Racing (NANSR), which is the guiding authority in the confederacy for racing using either off-road courses or non-standard vehicles, such as ATVs and motorcycles. Orion Racing is responsible for the maintenance and organisation of snowcross racing, as well as rallying and motorcycles races. All races and courses organised by Orion Racing take place off-road. Orion participates in national tournaments allowing individual participation and team participation, with Orion Racing being the top-scoring team in the confederacy for both snowcross and motorcycle racing, and the second-highest rally performance after the team of the Evard Automobile Company. Orion has a special deal with Aigar Motors, a car manufacturer in the confederacy, to use Aigar's off-road vehicles for Orion's rally team.

Events

  • Confederate Grand Prix: Held in Stonewall every year, the Confederate Grand Prix is open to all confederate racers whether they are traditional racers, rally drivers, motorcycle racers, or snowcross racers. The Grand Prix has four portions, encompassing both traditional racing, rallying, motocross, and snowcross.
  • International CrossGames: Held in Mourn, Orion began organising the International CrossGames in 1680 AN. It encompasses rallying, motocross, and snowcross, and is open to teams from all over the world.
  • Master Snowcross Championships: The Master Snowcross Championships is the pinnacle of the confederate Snowcross Tournament, and is held on a rough track built new every year on the antarctic ice pack.

Foxhound ATV

The Foxhound ATV is an all-terrain vehicle designed for use specifically on the frozen ice of the antarctic. It utilises verakium technology with electromagnets to allow the vehicle to hover just over twenty centimetres above the ground. It uses an ion drive for propulsion. Its top speed is 267 km/h, and does 0-100 in 3.96 seconds.

Ajax

The Orion Ajax is a conventional motorcycle designed for urban use. It features high-performance tyres and a sleek design that supplements conventional braking with airbrakes, allowing very fast stops and tight turns. The motorcycle is also padded to allow for a more comfortable ride for those less interested in speed. Its top speed is 278 km/h, and does 0-100 in 3.08 seconds.

Electrum

The Orion Electrum is a conventional all-terrain vehicle that is specifically designed for hilly terrain, which the aforementioned Foxhound sometimes struggles with due to its hover technology. The Electrum also features a passenger seat, allowing two people to ride the vehicle at once. Its top speed is 288 km/h, and does 0-100 in 3.56 seconds.

Corsair

The Orion Corsair is a motorcycle equipped with verakium hover technology, designed for off-road and limited urban use. Unlike the Foxhound, the Corsair can be used in an urban environment due to its usage of airbrakes to allow it a faster deceleration speed than is afforded to most hovering vehicles, and its use of a "pop drive", which is a modification to the ion drive that allows a faster acceleration. Its top speed is 301 km/h, and does 0-100 in 3.22 seconds.
