Order of the Eagle

The Order of the Eagle is the most prominent order of excellence in Sanama, awarded by the President once per year, for exceptional civilian or military service. The National Honours Commission recommend awardees to the President. The order consist of five classes: Member, Officer, Lieutenant, Commander, and Commander Grand Cross. The President also regularly appoint foreign heads of state as Grand Commanders of the order.
