Order Creating the Ministry of Information (GO-2013-10)
In accordance with a decision of the Royal Cabinet Office, the Royal Chancellor does hereby order the following changes to the structure of the Royal Government:
1. The Vice-Ministry of Information is hereby created, to be headed by a Vice-Minister appointed by the Royal Chancellor or his designate. The Vice-Minister for Information shall in the normal course of his duties answer to the Minister of State for the Home Office.
2. The Vice-Ministry of Information shall assume the entire mandate of the Vice-Ministry of Culture and Education, which is forthwith dissolved, with the exception of the provision of educational services, which responsibility for is forthwith transferred to the Royal University of Gotzborg.
3. The Vice-Ministry of Information shall assume the communications and information, and the Gotzborg Poste functions of the Vice-Ministry of Public Works forthwith.
4. For greater clarity, the Vice-Ministry of Information shall be responsible for the administration of the following functions and files of the Royal Government, in addition to any future functions or files assigned to it by the Royal Cabinet Office, the Royal Chancellor:
- Maintenance of the Gotzborg Travel Guide;
- Oversee Gotzborg Poste (the development of stamps is arguably a cultural act rather than one of public works as currently structured);
- Administer the Public Holidays Act;
- Oversee the maintenance of the national website and related services;
- Maintenance of any Gotzborg-related entries on intermicronational wiki sites;
- Development of internal government communication processes and standards;
- Licensing and regulation of media within the Kingdom;
- Creation of fictional backstories for settlements / duchies of the Kingdom;
5. The Vice-Minister for Information may unilaterally undertake additional functions and files that do not infringe on the established mandate with any other Royal Government entity.
