Occupied Balduvien

Occupied Balduvien, officially the Transitional Security Administration in West Balduvien, is the military administration over part of the former Lac Glacei canton of Balduvien undertaken by the United Kingdom of Meckelnburgh in the course of the Meckelno–Nü Krantisk War. The Administration zone runs from Krantbuurg and Baltdun west to the border of Meckelnburgh proper. The Administration was established in Krantbuurg and occupied territories to the west in 1754 AN following the Battle of Krantbuurg. Occupation by Meckelnburgh is enshrined in the kingdom’s law to continue until power may be ceded to a central, organized authority in the region.
A non-territorial occupation, the Administration was established to manage territories formerly controlled by the NKR and crimes against humanity and genocide under its rule during the NKR insurrection. The Administration zone also established a protective buffer against a region under anarchical disorder. Oversight by the Administration is limited to peacekeeping missions and the continued elimination of the NKR and other irregular terrorists in the area. Other than a small military administration and rapid-response security force, day-to-day life of the inhabitants follows local rule, and Meckelnburgh does not carry out legislative, judicial or policing activities, other than the enforcement of humanitarian laws and defense against armed forces.
