Norasht Frontier Station is the terminus of the line of the Trans-Euran Railway that will run from Badehshahr over a distance of 668 kilometres to the frontier with the Bassarid-occupied portion of Norasht Province. Five regiments of kuls were garrisoned at the site as of 1709 AN in cantonments housed within a regular polygonal system of fortifications consisting of bastions, ravelins, ditches, and glacis. Entrance to the station from the south east is via a causeway of rammed earth within a mudbrick retaining wall along which the eventual track of the railway will be set. The causeway presently has a height of nine-metres and a width of 36 metres. Construction parties sortie from the station on a daily basis to extend the causeway in the direction of Badehshahr, from whence a further multitude of kuls are toiling to extend a causeway of similar dimensions towards the frontier. Parties of surveyors and engineers from the Raspur Railway Corporation, escorted by Surenid gendarmes and troops from officers from the General Inspectorate of Eura and Corum, travel regularly between the two causeways in order to ensure their steady progress and continued alignment. As the causeway extends further away from the station secondary camps have begun to be established at 100 km intervals. These satellite camps, enrounded by sand berms, stake pits, and barbed wire, serve as worker barracks, storage depots, and rest stops for supply convoys travelling from Badeshahr to the frontier station.

Garrison

In addition to the five regiments of kuls barracked in the cantonments of Norasht Frontier Station there are also to be found a regiment of the Second Norashti Brigade of the State Gendarmerie (Žāndārmirī-ye Dowlati) consisting of conscripts on their two years of service as mounted-light infantry and auxiliary policemen. A squadron from the General Inspectorate of Eura and Corum will typically be in residence at the station.

The commandant of the station is provided by the Grand Commissariat of Eura and Corum, however the majority of personnel on his staff, including the engineers and surveyors, as well as the gangmasters and guards of the kuls, are civilians in the employ of the Raspur Railway Corporation.
