Lac Glacei Grand Revival
The Lac Glacei Grand Revival is an era generally agreed upon by historians to fall between the years of 1689 AN to 1713 AN which saw the rapid decline of Stormark and the swift rise of Lac Glacei to encompass most of northeastern Apollonia. The period coincides with the reign of Orion II, whose re-emergence from obscurity, the subsequent restoration of the Grand Ducal throne, and the rapid rise of Lac Glaceian power were all attributed to the monarch's deft leadership. The crowning point of the era is considered to be the death of Orion II and the Succession Crisis of 1713 which saw the merger of Lac Glacei with neighboring Angsax, effectively doubling the size of the Grand Duchy. The period was typified by low inflation, a highly-valued Glaceian blanc, and rapid industrialization. The era's end is considered the assumption of the throne by Grand Duke Augustin, who has been faced with the daunting task of incorporating Angsax into Lac Glacei. The strain of incorporating the much more rural nation caused inflation and stretched Lac Glacei's resources, effectively ending the period of rapid growth previously seen over the past two decades.
