Krasnovlac Football AssociationThe Krasnovlac Football Association (Krasnovian: Fudtbol Krasnovlac ot Fejeresion, FKF) is the governing body of association football in Krasnovlac. Officially founded in 2022, the association has a rich history from before it's status as an official FMF member and is responsible in overseeing all aspects of professional and amateur football in the country.
The Krasnovlac Football Association oversees all tiers of football ranging from professional level to amateur level. It runs several competitions, the two professional leagues, two amateur leagues, the league and domestic cup, and the Krasnovlac Secondary Schools Football Tournament. It is also responsible for managing the men's, women's, and youth football teams, the last two in discussion as the men's team was admitted into FMF just recently.
The Krasnovlac Football Association is a member of both FMF and AEFA and its headquarters are based in E-Lorat.
History
The association was first founded when football in Krasnovlac was still amateurish, with the highest level of football in the nation being at Sunday league level. The association, which was formed by students of Lorat Secondary School, aimed to increase the level of football by organising several games with neighbouring schools. The first game being between the Lorat Secondary School and Showaku High School students.
The first league to be set up in Krasnovlac was the Lorat Regional League where school teams and teams formed by graduates participated in. This slowly branched out to other regions when sporting culture became more prevalent in the country where the government gave funding to make a nationwide league possible. Five teams participated in the first edition but it quickly gained fuel as it slowly expanded into sixteen teams.
Noticing the lack of youth footballers after the first batches of footballers, the association organised a football tournament amongst the schools in Krasnovlac. After a meeting with the school board, the first ever football tournament amongst schools was established which merged into the Krasnovlac Secondary Schools Tournament.
Women's football
Football amongst women is just as popular as it is with men and several schools also participated in the women's version of the Krasnovlac Secondary Schools Tournament. There is an active women's league, cup, and national team but there has been issues with the developing of women's football. Though the association has said that in a few years, it is expected that women football in Krasnovlac would be at the same level as the men's.
