Karyl Asparajuun

Karyl Asparajuun (Карыл Аспараюун; 1602–1688) was an Elw–Shirerithian bodyguard, catamite and erstwhile nobleman (Viscount Minge, 1629–1643).

Karyl was born and grew up in Karmanjoomrim in northern Elwynn.

He was catamite to Kaiser Ayreon III (Jonathan Ayreon-Kalirion) from 1620 until 1626. In 1626, he was transferred into the care of Kaiseress Kizzy following her decree requesting a "contingent of three young, virile, and active men be dispatched to her court" from each imperial realm. As such, Karyl, along with other men joined Kizzy's harem from that point on.

In 1629, Kizzy saw fit to ennoble Karyl to Viscount Minge while releasing him from catamitate. In 1643, however, Kaiser Dominus, in his disapproval and disgust of catamitate and the status of Kizzy's catamites in the higher nobility, removed Karyl and the fellow ennobled former catamites from the nobility. He also banished them from Shireroth. After an intercession by Kizzy's son Kyle Kilynn, Karyl and the others were allowed to move to Demonsfall.

He continued to live in Demonsfall until 1671 when Elwynn's independence allowed him to retire in Karmanjoomrim. He lived a quiet life there until dying in 1688. He died childless and single.
