Kaiseress Companion of Shireroth
The title Kaiseress Companion of Shireroth was an imperial title of nobility, signifying membership in the Shirerithian imperial family. It was created in 1638, was rendered obsolete in 1642, and finally abolished completely in 1651. It was the highest position of nobility aside from the Kaiser. From 1638 to 1642, the position was held by Fjǫrleif Hallbjörnsdóttir, and from 1642 to 1651 it was vacant.
Originally, the position was devised for someone who might have been called upon to perform the functions appertaining to the Imperial Consort of the Kaiser of Shireroth, when the Kaiser lacked a spouse or significant other or when His Imperial Consort is absent or indisposed.
The position was first introduced by Kaiser Hjalmar in 1638 AN as a reward for his sister Fjǫrleif Hallbjörnsdóttir. The notion of being obliged to accept a pre-ordained consort proved to be unpopular with subsequent Kaisers and the role of Kaiseress Companion was abolished by Steward Liv Dravot (Imperial Decree 962) having been already effectively rendered obsolete by the reforms of the Imperial Household undertaken by the Kaiser Dominus (Imperial Decree 829).
