Jinan
Jinan Island or Pulau Jeenan is an island situated in the east of Seragaan, Daau.
History
Discovered by the Dauian government officials in 1711, Jinan was an uninhabited island of plain tropical flora and fauna. Locals started moving in from mainland Seragaan by 1721 and the Island had an official ferry in mid 1722 which still runs presently everyday, shuttling between Seragaan Pier 2 and the Jinan Express Pier from 6 in the morning to 2 in the early morning. Jinan itself saw its economy bustle during the 1723 Fish Rush which meant alot of mainland Dauians flocked over to Jinan to establish fishing outposts and saw the establishment of the Jinan Fish and Shell Market, known nowadays as the Jinan Seafood Market, the largest seafood market in all of Daau. Inhabitants by then reached 10,000 on the small island and has been dropping ever since. The lifestyle there is known as the traditional Dalay "Kampong" lifestyle, which translates roughly into Villagely Life.
Nowadays islander residents reside in small Government built huts or small combined housing complexes designed for island habitat, local economy depends mainly on fishing and tourism as Jinan was listed as one of the top tourist spots by the Dauian Travel Board and has since a double increase in visitors every weekend and long holiday week. Jinan is famous for their fresh seafood restaurants and local produce sea salt milk tea, leading to many marketing events and a surge in visitors.

Education
The island is home multiple educational institutes, with the Jinan Pre-school, Jinan Island Primary and Jinan Island Secondary School being the most popular among residents. The Quay International School also has a branch for Lower and Upper school on the Jinan Ridge.
Ethnic Groups
Jinan is home to mainly people of ethnic Dalay descent though Tim descents also take up a sizable percentage of the islands population. Banhnamese immigrants are also attracted to the island thus the many Namh Bi shops around the island.
