Jay Chan Song Ka Sin or just Jay Chan (Yewlang: 陈松家辛; born 1993) is a Dauian professional football player who plays as an wing back for Daau Premier League Club Mak Kau Hijau FC.
Highly regarded as one of the best dribbler in Daau, Jay however has never played full professional football in his life and spent most of his time playing futsal and is the all time top futsal champion in Daau. Jay however also has not played a game for the Daau national futsal team due to personal issues and withdrew from the 2023 SEEFF Futsal Championship squad.
Club career
Mak Kau Hijau FC
Jay would sign with his first proper football club in the winter of 2017, signing with local amateurs Mak Kau Hijau FC. He however did not make a single appearance due to him focusing on his investment career and youth coaching and was only registered as player for the seasons. He would stay with the team due to him wanting to have a place to keep himself fit.
Chan however was only listed in a matchsheet as a bench player until in 2023 where he finally made his professional and club debut against Thampines Rovers FC where he scored a hattrick and completing a dream debut for the club.
Playing style
Jay is described as a pacy and skillful winger by his youth coaches back in BEC Teto and was also said that he had a ton of potential. He can play in all wing positions no matter or right and is a versatile flank player as described by his coaches. He is known as the swiss army knife of MKHFC as he is able to play in multiple positions and fill in for his teammates when needed.
