Jääland Auxiliary Regiments
The Jääland Auxiliary Regiments (JAR) was a volunteer defence association organised by the Florian-led Apollonian Continental Theatre Command of the Raspur Pact. Established in mid-1705 AN, the Jääland Auxiliary Regiments were to be raised so as to ensure that each chartered city of Jääland contributed an auxiliary regiment of 1,200 volunteers that would be available for territorial defence, rear area security, and the protection of vital infrastructure such as airports, harbours and the Jääland Bridge.
The Troubles and aftermath
In 1707 AN these volunteers were placed on alert following reports that the Jaakeli government was close to falling having become destabilised by internal factional strife. Following the evacuation of the country, in the wake of its sudden ecological and societal collapse, the surviving members of the Jääland Auxiliary Regiments were reformed as the Jääkieli Regiment and attached to the General Inspectorate of Apollonia Command at Tyrador.
