The Institute for Economic Analysis and Studies (Alexandrian: Institut d'analyse et d'études économiques; Martino: Instituto de Análisis y Estudios Económicos, IAEE) is a research and educational institute dedicated to advancing the fields of economic theory, applied economics, and policy analysis. It is located at the site of the Cárdenas Stock Exchange in Cárdenas, the capital of Nouvelle Alexandrie, and is a center for economic research, data analysis, and policy innovation. IAEE is officially part of the Department of Trade and Industry and operates under the mandate to support sustainable economic growth, fiscal stability, and evidence-based policymaking. It employs over 1,500 researchers, including 150 postgraduates from the University of Cárdenas, making it one of the largest economic research institutes in the nation.

History

The IAEE was established in 1690 AN as the National Center for Economic Research (CNIE) to address the economic challenges of the Cárdenas Plan and the New Prosperity Plan. Initially housed in temporary facilities near the University of Cárdenas, its early work focused on macroeconomic modeling for national development; fiscal policy design to stabilize the post-unification economy; and trade and industrial policy to integrate Nouvelle Alexandrie into global markets.

In 1695 AN, the institute expanded its mandate to include applied econometrics and behavioral economics, prompting its renaming to the IAEE.

With the launch of the Frontera Program in 1738 AN, the IAEE received NAX€500 million in funding, enabling the construction of new research facilities; the establishment of dedicated departments for labor economics, environmental economics, and international trade; and a new advisory division to collaborate with private and public sectors.

The IAEE focuses on interdisciplinary research in economics, organized into multiple core departments for:
