On the Ascension of Kaiser Ayreon VI
ARTICLE I – Death of Kaiser Ayreon V
It is with immeasurable sorrow that We announce the tragic passing of Our Lord the Radiant Sun, Ayreon the Fifth, Kaiser of Shireroth, etc.
A period of thirty days of Imperial Mourning is hereby proclaimed throughout the Imperial Republic.
During this time, the Imperial Standard shall be flown at half-mast over all Imperial edifices, and no festivities or public celebrations shall take place. The bells of each city shall toll each dawn, and all subjects of the Kaiser are called to remembrance and reflection.
The late Kaiser's body shall be transported to Shirekeep, there to lie in state in Raynor's Keep, prior to burial in the Valley of Mors.
ARTICLE II – Ascension of Kaiser Ayreon VI
We proclaim that the Golden Mango Throne has passed to the only child of the late Kaiser, His Imperial Highness The Prince Cedric Kōmei Zarathustra Ayreon-Kalirion ibn al-Majeed al-Osman bin Sathrati of Waffel-Paine, who now ascends the same throne as Our Lord the Radiant Sun, Ayreon the Sixth, Kaiser of Shireroth, etc.
ARTICLE III – Regency of Kaiser Ayreon VI
As the young Kaiser has not yet attained His majority, the Imperial Advisory Council hereby establishes a Regency, to act in His name and safeguard the unity and continuity of the Empire.
The Council, by unanimous resolution, appoints His Imperial Highness The Lord Rafi Hakimi bin Alsalam, the Duke of Vidarstadt and Imperial Chamberlain, to serve as Regent of the Imperial Republic of Shireroth, with full authority to act on behalf of His Imperial Majesty Ayreon VI until the Kaiser reaches His legal and imperial majority.
The Regent will govern with prudence and fidelity to the late Kaiser’s example, ensuring that the young Sovereign’s future reign shall be one of peace, wisdom, and honour.
Given at Raynor's Keep on the tenth day of the sixth month in the year after the death of Norton one thousand seven hundred and forty-nine.
