The Great Famine of Elwynn (1530–1533) was, in the history of Elwynn, a protracted hunger famine in the latter years of the First Babkhan Era. It was the last a of series of hunger famines that blighted rural Elwynn over the course of two decades (1512–1533) and which ended in the Froyalanish Era. As such, some academics refer to the entire longer period as the great famine, but it is important to note that the last three years (1530–1533) were markedly worse than the previous ten years, but not as bad as the initial famine in 1512–1515.
