Graecian-Bassarid relations
Formal friendly relations between the People's Republic of Graecia and the Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union were established in 41.81 PSSC (1681 AN), on the basis of a desire by both nations to secure and advance the causes of peace and prosperity in southwestern Keltia.
Background
The two states had friendly relations from the start; When the People's Republic of Graecia was founded, the Bassarids were from the First Nations to welcome it. As such, it is to no surprise that the Bassarids are considered by the Graecians currently the most friendly nation to them.
Visa Policies
Bassarid Visa Policy
The Bassarids offer an expedited visa application process for citizens of Graecia who desire to travel to Passas or any Bassarid territories around the Captive Sea. Graecians seeking to travel to Bassarid territories beyond southwestern Keltia may apply for standard visas without restriction.
Graecian Visa Policy
The People's Republic of Graecia has relaxed it's Visa policy towards the citizens of the Haifa-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union; although they still need a visa to ender Graecian land, their procedures to obtain it are less bureaucratic; plus, Bassarids are not restricted in most of their activities that they can undertake in Graecia (unlike citizens of the rest of the world). One more major addition is that Bassarid traders or Bassarid Football Teams can enter without the Special Visa otherwise required, provided that they limit their activities to the ones needs for their profession.
Non-Aggression Pact
Citing a strong shared desire to re-establish a consistent standard of peace and stability in the region following decades of violence and chaos owing to the collapse of several major regional powers, the Bassarids and Graecia have agreed to a policy of mutual non-aggression. The Bassarids, furthermore, have committed to supporting Graecia's intention to remain unaligned to either the USSO or the Raspur Pact, citing a desire to ensure that Graecia is able to develop and grow in a manner unencumbered by obligations and burdens which may be imposed upon them by either major alliance.
Embassies
The two countries have agreed to open embassies to eachother, as to help faciliate the communications and the movement of goods between them. Also, this would speed up the Visa application proccess. The People's Republic of Graecia has opened an embassy on the city of Zidu, which serves as one of the capitals of the Haifo-Pallisican Imperial Trade Union, and the one which is the nearest to the Graecian Homeland. Information from the Imperial Trade Union is awaited as to the location of their embassy in Graecia.
Trade
The Bassarids have extended an open, friendly invitation for Graecia to participate in the Port of Vines as a valuable, unaligned, and independent trading partner. Graecia have not indicated whether they will accept this invitation, and the Bassarids have offered assurances that they will not pressure Graecia to join the market against their political and economic ambitions.
