Fortis is the largest city in the traditional county of Caverden, and the administrative centre of South Caverdenshire. Situated in a valley along the upper reaches of the Brookshire River, the city was notable for its metallurgical industry.
Landmarks
- The Automation Clock is the defining landmark of the city. First recorded in 1591 AN, it is an arcane device of Machinarian provenance set in a tall clocktower, which regulates the rhythm of the city through means unknown. Inactive for many years, the Automation Clock was restored by Mondo Etzeterra in 1758 AN.
- Unlike many contemporary cities, Fortis still possesses its city walls.
