Federal Job Centre

The Federal Job Centre (Martino: Centro Federal de Empleo), known by its acronym CFE or as Celeo, is a government agency of Nouvelle Alexandrie, that serves as a central hub for job seekers and employers in the country. It is administrated by the Department of Labor. The Centre plays a pivotal role in implementing federal employment policy, facilitating workforce development, and promoting economic mobility.. It has its headquarters in Cárdenas, but maintains a total of 30 'annexes' across all regions of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
Mission
The primary mission of the centre is to connect job seekers with employment opportunities while supporting employers in recruiting qualified talent. It acts as an intermediary between the labor market and federal workforce initiatives, coordinating with both public and private stakeholders.
Services
The FJC provides a comprehensive range of employment and career development services, including:
- Job Listings, a centralized database of openings drawn from government, private sector, and regional sources. Listings are available through the Centre’s website, local annexes, job fairs, and recruitment events, covering full-time, part-time, temporary, and seasonal positions across all major industries;
- Job Search assistance, providing personalized guidance through career counseling sessions, workshops, and skill assessments. Services include résumé and cover letter reviews, interview coaching, and long-term career planning;
- Recruitment Assistance, which coordinates with apprenticeship programs and vocational initiatives to provide on-the-job training, technical instruction, and continuing education opportunities.
The FJC also assists employers in meeting workforce needs by offering:
- Recruitment assistance, support in identifying and attracting qualified candidates through job matching services, targeted recruitment campaigns, and advertising through the federal jobs platform;
- Job Fairs and Recruitment Events, regularly organized gatherings to connect employers with large pools of prospective candidates, fostering direct engagement between businesses and job seekers;
- Labor Market Information, guidance on hiring trends, skill shortages, and wage benchmarks to inform workforce planning and business strategies.
The FJC works closely with the Federal Apprenticeship Program to provide on-the-job training and other educational opportunities. It also collaborates with regional governments, educational institutions, and trade associations to align workforce development with national economic priorities.
Organization
The FJC is overseen by the Department of Labor. It is headed by a Director-General, appointed by the Secretary of Labor with advise and consent of the Cortes Federales. The FCJ is further divided into three directorates, and has a dedicated office for the regional annex. It has one advisory council composed of representatives from trade associations, employers' associations, and academic institutions; which advises the FJC on policy direction, skill needs, and workforce challenges.
