The Federal Audit Office of Nouvelle Alexandrie (FAONA) is the supreme audit institution of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie, established under the Federal Audit Office Establishment and Function Act, 1737. As the Federation's principal audit body, it serves as an independent oversight institution responsible for ensuring accountability, transparency, and effectiveness in the financial management of federal government entities and programs.
Established in 1738 AN following bipartisan legislation introduced by Deputy Felipe de la Vega and championed by Premier Marissa Santini, the Federal Audit Office represents one of the most significant institutional reforms in New Alexandrian governance. The agency operates under the administrative umbrella of the Department of the Treasury while maintaining operational independence through statutory protections and professional standards.
Since its establishment, the agency has conducted over 1,200 audits across federal entities, identified NAX€2.3 billion in cost savings and efficiency improvements, and contributed to significant reforms in public financial management across the Federation.
