The Families of the Faedertellus were the chief bloodlines of the Nova English, carried over into the days when the lands of the former Kingdom had been usurped, first by Ostland and then by Moorland. By 1756 AN they had formed a fraternal association to counterbalance the Upland Clans in East Moorland. Some affiliated families were also to be found in the Warring Islands. Many were notable for their past association with the Sea-Reavers. Some families, unable to fully set aside their lawless ways, had further drifted across the frontier and out onto the Green.
