The Etourney National Stadium is a 72,500-seat multi-purpose stadium in St. Edwin's, Etourney. Opened in 2026, it is the largest stadium in Etourney and serves as the territory's principal venue for Amorian football, while also being capable of hosting association football, concerts and other major events.

The stadium was constructed primarily for the expansion of collegiate gridiron football in Etourney and is the home stadium of the University of Etourney football programme, which competes in the National Collegiate Athletic Federation (NCAF). It was designed to provide Etourney with a major stadium capable of hosting NCAF championship and postseason games as well as international sporting events.

Unlike Etourney's older football grounds, Etourney National Stadium was designed around a permanent gridiron configuration. The seating bowl is positioned close to the sidelines and end zones, although the playing area is sufficiently wide to accommodate a regulation association football pitch.

History

Plans for a new national stadium in Etourney were announced following the growth of organised gridiron football and collegiate athletics in Floria nationwide. Existing venues in St. Edwin's were considered inadequate for major NCAF fixtures, particularly following plans to integrate Etournian universities more closely into the Florian collegiate sporting system.

Construction began in 2024 on a site in St. Edwin's next to the former Etourney Stadium. The project was conceived as both a national stadium and the centrepiece of a new sporting district, with transport infrastructure and public spaces constructed around the venue.

The stadium was completed in 2026 and officially opened ahead of the 2026 NCAF season and Etourney Championship.

Design

Etourney National Stadium has a capacity of 72,500 in its standard gridiron configuration. The stadium features a continuous lower bowl, club and premium levels, as well as large upper decks extending along both sidelines and around the end zones.

The stadium is fully enclosed beneath a permanent roof, reflecting the cold and snowy climate of Etourney. The roof spans the entire seating bowl and playing surface, allowing matches to be staged throughout the winter regardless of snowfall or severe weather. Large sections of the roof are constructed from translucent panels, allowing natural light to reach the playing surface while protecting spectators and the field from the elements.

The roof structure is engineered to withstand substantial snow accumulation and incorporates an integrated heating and snow-melt system to prevent excessive loading during prolonged periods of snowfall. Climate control within the stadium maintains suitable conditions for both spectators and players during periods of extreme cold.

The seating bowl draws heavily from large collegiate football stadiums, with steep stands and an enclosed configuration designed to retain crowd noise and create a distinctive home-field environment. Combined with the permanent roof, the enclosed bowl gives the stadium particularly strong acoustics during major NCAF games.

Two large high-definition video boards are positioned above the end-zone seating, supplemented by ribbon displays around the interior of the stadium.

The stadium also includes 118 luxury suites, club seating, hospitality lounges, media facilities and dedicated facilities for collegiate football programmes. The playing surface and surrounding floor area are sufficiently large to allow the stadium to be converted for association football and other major events.
