Education in Sankt Ludwigshafen

Education in Sankt Ludwigshafen is mandatory for children roughly between the ages of six and sixteen. The school system is organised by the republic, with a standardised curriculum that all schools adhere to. Schools are open from 8:00 to 16:00, warm meals are provided to all students and staff between 12:00 and 13:00. The education system is paid for via income tax. In all years of mandatory education, students are taught handwriting, grammar and spelling, literature, arithmetic, crafts, animal care, and sports. In the later years fishing and basic marksmanship are also taught. After mandatory education, students will follow an apprenticeship where they will learn a profession at a job site. There are no universities in Sankt Ludwigshafen as these are seen as a place where subversive thoughts are born. The republic does however have an agreement with the Jingdaoese University of Daocheng to let up to a hundred Ludwiggian students study at that institute.
