Dunn Mountains
The Dunn Mountains are a small mountain range that serve as a natural barrier and lie along the border between the Kingdom of Moorland and the Republic of Mercury. Although not long in extent, the range rises abruptly to an elevation of 4,302' and has many deep gorges and ravines. For years the range acted as a barrier to expansion from parties on either side. More recently the range was a factor in Operation Northway, when Moorlander authorities sought a route to connect to the Trans-Keltian Express. Coupled with raids by hostiles, the military operation created a navigable land corridor west around the base of the mountains in order to run the railroad along a safe path. The range is popular for hiking and skiing, which is expected to increase once the railroad is completed.
