The Chrysean Festival of Roqpin is an annual occasion dedicated to the celebration of the Elw high summer holy-days of Roqpin. Held in Chryse for the benefit those society figures unable or unwilling to depart for the high north of Elluenuueq. The inaugural event would commence in the year 1715 AN, under the patronage of the High Commissioner of Chryse, Ayesha al-Osman. The festival's primary aim is to showcase the diversity and richness of the Elw culture and to bring together people from different social backgrounds.

Culminating on the day of High Roqpin, the festival is a week-long event that features various activities and events such as dance performances, music, poetry recitations, and storytelling. The main event, the Roqpin parade, is a colorful procession that winds its way through the streets of Chryse, accompanied by the sound of music and the vibrant beating of drums. The parade features elaborately decorated floats, each one depicting a unique aspect of Elw culture, from traditional dress to intricate art and craft.

Another highlight of the festival is the bazaar, which offers visitors an opportunity to sample the culinary delights of the Elw people. Here, visitors can sample a wide range of delicacies such as roasted quail, spicy lamb, and fragrant rice dishes, all prepared using traditional Elw and Babkhi methods and ingredients. The bazaar also showcases a variety of handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry, giving visitors an opportunity to purchase unique souvenirs to take home.

Despite its popularity, the Festival of Roqpin has not been without controversy. Some critics have argued that it is merely a superficial attempt to portray the city as a tolerant and diverse place while glossing over its underlying problems. Others have criticised the festival for being exclusionary, catering only to the city's wealthy and privileged classes. These critics were subsequently brought to the attention of the Benacian Censorate by the Panopticon Nexus, and have been graciously bestowed with the opportunity to acquire an entirely new perspective on the matter whilst undergoing a term of enforced contemplation, exiled to the Governorate of Leng.
