CNUT
CNUT (Comrade Nicola’s Ultimate Truth) is a terrorist organisation composed of left-wing militants and other reprobates within North Eastern Keltia. The group first rose to prominence as a Xeno-Rights group in the Britannic Sandwich Islands during the ‘Blue Scare’ of the 930s(AJ). Following the execution of their leader Nicola Griffin after a botched attack against a member of the Witan, the group dispersed and continued their campaign against the government and the civilian population. It is widely believed that the group was behind the assassination of King Josephus II in 932AJ bringing forth the Great Disaster.
Ideology
CNUT generally follows left-wing anarchist ideals with a view to protecting and enshrining the rights and liberties of all non-human species who they believe to be superior to humanity. However it has been known for their core-beliefs to change and shift to suit the global political climate in attempts to garner funding and support from foreign partners. In 24/05/995AJ an amendment was passed to the Anti-Terror Act which included the addition of CNUT to the list of Prescribed Terror Groups.
Activities
CNUT have been involved in a number of activities since their inception in 930AJ. These have included numerous small scale attacks including post bombs, arson, incitement of penal labour riots and spreading false propaganda. However some notable actions are listed below;
- Attempted assassination of anti-Xeno NENP Party Member in 931AJ. This botched attack resulted in three of the five CNUT members being killed in a firefight with responding officers from the National Police Force. The two surviving members, one of whom being the group’s leader Nicola Griffin were executed for Terrorist Activities following a short trial.
- In 1007AJ the group claimed responsibility for the car bomb that killed the then leader of the Nova English People’s Party.
- During the period of the National Quarantine the group was behind numerous attempts to smuggle White Plague stricken victims from the green into Nova England. In addition to attacking patrols of National Health Institute Sanitation Teams operating in the ‘Buffer Zone’.
