BE IT ENACTED by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Cortes Federales, in this present 1st session assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
PART I GENERAL PROVISIONS.
Article 1: Citation.
This act shall be officially cited as the "Boriquén Admission Act, 1718".
PART II BORIQUÉN ADMITTED AS A REGION TO THE FEDERATION OF NOUVELLE ALEXANDRIE.
Article 2: Admission of Boriquén.
The Region of Boriquén shall be admitted into the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie on equal footing with the existing Regions, and the Proclamation of Punta Santiago shall apply to the Region in the same manner and to the same extent as to the existing states.
The capital of Boriquén shall be the city of Hato Rey.
The Plan de Hato Rey, as attached in Schedule A to this Act, is hereby ratified and confirmed.
Article 4: Representation in the Cortes Federales.
Upon admission, Boriquén shall be entitled to elect a number of Deputies of the Federal Assembly in accordance with the laws.
Until such apportionment is made, the Deputies of the Federal Assembly shall be elected in the same manner as provided by the Proclamation of Punta Santiago and the relevant laws for the election of Deputies.
PART III CLOSING PROVISIONS.
Article 5: Closing Provisions.
This act shall apply to all of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
This act shall not become law unless it has been given Royal Assent.
This act shall be published and made publicly available.
If any provision of this act, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the remainder of the act, and the application of such provision to other persons or circumstances, shall not be affected thereby.
