The Birgesh Gridiron League (BGL) was a semi-professional Amorian football league in Birgeshir. The regular season consisted of six games and the top two teams played for the national title in the Birgesh Bowl. The season spanned from February to March with games played on Fridays.
History
American football (called "Amorian football" in Micras) has its deep roots in Deniz Yürük's life,being a sport that fascinated him since 1995 (along with Baseball). As years passed away,however,the Tsaloj started to prefer Rugby over American football for its game rules and this is the main reason why Rugby League and Union are more popular in Birgeshir. Nonetheless in December 2018,soon after Birgeshir joined the MGFF,Deniz decided to found a domestic league in order to both take full MGFF membership and encourage birgesh people to play the sport.
For the inaugural season,the 4 teams were split into two conferences (Day Conference and Night Conference). The following year,however,it was decided that the 4 teams would play in a single group.
In 2020, the BGL was disbanded soon after Birgeshir left Micras.
