Austrmarker Norse is a Norse language spoken in eastern Normandie (generally in the counties of Falaise and Rohan). It is spoken by approximately 150,000 people. Austrmarker Norse is primarily based on Heartlander Norse, but the Austrmarkers mostly came from the lands near Borgarrike and Frostarike, hence the abundance of Hurmumol loanwords. Austrmarker Norse influenced Norman-Walsch at some point and contributed many loanwords to the Norman-Walsch language. Socially, Austrmarker Norse has largely been replaced by Hurmu Norse, but Austrmarker Norse is still spoken in rural areas.
