Ataasiussuservik is a settlement on Samhold Island. The town, whose named means "place of unity" in Qavaqaqqaqqaniitqeqertaquit, was settled in 1712 AN by Paqalinuit and Nunaqeqertaquit refugees from Pacary and incorporated as a municipality in 1719. It was earleir known as Samhold (which also means unity).
