Statement of the Political Directorate of Benacia Command Concerning the Political Status of the United Isles

The noble experiment in self-determination undertaken by the United Isles after the gracious concessions granted through the Treaty of Hareffa Lunti has, most regrettably, ended in failure. On two recent occasions Benacia Command has been obliged to step in and restore order amongst the warring islanders for whom home rule has proven to be an aspiration beyond their grasp. In spite of supporting allied nation-building efforts it is clear that the good governance that the peoples of the isles so earnestly crave can only come from the outside. For this reason, Benacia Command, on behalf of the Joint Military Council and the Permanent Committee of the Raspur Pact, is pleased to announce that the earnest desire of the Islanders to be reunified with their brethren on the mainland, proud citizens of the Unified Governorates of Benacia, has now been acceded to.

As a gesture of good will, and of fraternal solidarity, all cultural and sporting institutions established by the United Isles during its period of independence shall be maintained. This includes the national association football team and the national football association.
