The Antischiffmehrfachraketenwerferlastkraftwagen I, abbreviated as ASMfRwLKW I, is a truck mounted multiple launch anti-ship rocket system that was developed by Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen in the Lanzerwald Republic using the chassis of a OMW Handelsmann Schwere Ausführung from Osthügel Motorenwerke together with the Seezielflugkörpergeschütz 360/1752, also developed by Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen. The ASMfRwLKW I was first introduced into active service in III.1753. While developed by Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen, the license for production of the vehicle has been sold to Osthügel Motorenwerke, and production of the vehicle takes place at the Osthügel Motorenwerke factory near Stadt Sankt Ludwigshafen. The first two systems of the ASMfRwLKW I, including support systems, were gifted by the Lanzerwald Republic to the Royal Meckelnburgh Navy in XV.1752.

Characteristics

The ASMfRwLKW I is built on a cab-over chassis of the commercially available OMW Handelsmann Schwere Ausführung, which is powered by the OMW 3L4C 300BHP diesel engine that is standard to that vehicle. The vehicles engine bay, fuel tanks and cab have been fitted with additional armour plating of 15 millimetres thickness. A canistered system to launch multiple rockets at the same time, or in any programmable sequence, is constructed on the back of the chassis, this is the Seezielflugkörpergeschütz 360/1752. Up to 6 rockets of the type Seezielflugkörper 360x5000mm can be loaded in this canistered system, these rockets have a diameter of 360 millimetres, are propelled by a turbojet engine and cordite rocket booster and have 275 kilograms of high-explosive weight. The operational range of the ASMfRwLKW is 190 kilometres. The ASMfRwLKW I system for missile guidance is a combination of inertia guidance and active radar homing. The ASMfRwLKW I is accompanied by radar vehicles, fire control vehicles and command vehicles, which are all based on OMW Kaufmann Schwere Ausführung vehicles designed by Osthügel Motorenwerke in cooperation with Waffenschmiederei Ludwigshafen.
