Andries van Oudorp is a civil service officer in the service of the Principality of the City and Country of Taktwinkel, one of three jurisdictions of the Confoederatio Aemilia. His job is to interview migrants to the city of Taktwinkel and determine whether they have the qualities to make them a good fit for the city. He is known for his impeccable taste in clothing and expects immigrants to be dressed to the same standards.
During the War on the Blue Menace in 1733, Andries van Oudorp met Galadriel Camel, who shared his dislike for ill-fitting denim shorts and they started a romance. The two married at the Rosaburg, off the coast of Stadt Sankt Rosa in 1735.
