AirAkhidia Airlines Flight 698

AirAkhidia's Orns-476 plane took off from Mighi International Airport to Kashkar Humar Airport in Oren at 11:30. Everything went normally until it didn't.

Plane problems

After a short time airplane captain Hızır Gacasta called Mighi International Airport representatives and said that there was a problem with the left engine of the plane.

Mighi International Airport representatives ignored the call and hung up saying it would be okay.

Aircraft failure

It was learned that there was also a problem with the engine on the right side of the plane; at the same time the air conditioner of the plane was broken.

Mighi International Airport representatives called again and were told the situation, the representatives said they would send aircraft repairmen.

Kashkar Humar Airport representatives told Flight 698 that there was a storm in parts of Oren and they should be careful.

Problems caused by the storm

When the plane arrived in Oren, it suddenly went into turbulence and the storm broke the plane's radios, the plane captain fainted with sudden fear, and the plane lost its balance, crashed into the Oren Mountains and caught fire.

All passengers were from Akhidia and of 39 people, 26 lost their lives.
