(WIP) The National Department for Criminal Investigation and Policing (Commonspeak: Nasonal Ebtileng för Crëmenal Envestigasön en Polisen), also known as Criminal Police (Commonspeak: Crëmenal Polise) and informally as the the "Greenbadges" are the national uniformed law enforcement service of Aerla. Founded soon after the nations creation, it was created as a merger of several local police forces.
Known as the Crëmpo by the population, President Basil Fitzroy describes them as the "Foremost pillar of Aerlan Justice."
Purpose
The Criminal Police's duty is to uphold the law and insure the safety of those within Aerla's borders. All Aerlan citizens, as defined by the Halenburg law, are given a warning informing them of their rights upon their arrest. All citizens are presumed innocent until proven guilty by the court of law and jury of peers.
Recruitment and Ranks
Any able-bodied adult above the age of 18 may apply to join the Criminal Police. Those who apply must complete a six-month physical and academic training regimen before they are inducted into the force.
