Început, (meaning Beginning), was a Caradian religious epic film directed and written by Ander Kasinov, and co-produced by Konstantin Kivetskiy. Început confirmed Kasinov's reputation as a director of religious cinema, his last project having been Zel, which was focused exclusively on the Flemic religion.
Început tells the story of Heilg Rodrick, the first Flemic saint and the first lieutenant of King-Saint Godrick I. The film focused on Rodrick's relationship with Godrick I, and his role in the civil war that birthed the Caradia that exists today.
The film was criticised before its release by select Flemic clergymen, who believed the dramatisation of the life of one of the most respected figures in the faith to be an "affront to the Church". However, the film was considered a critical success after its release, especially among the Flemic audience, who lauded the film's faithful portrayal of Rodrick and Godrick's lives.
Început was the first in a series of three movies that Kasinov was to direct which were to detail the Flemic Church in its past, present, and possible future.
