The Micras Chessboard
The Micras Chessboard is a story series by Gustaaf Vermeylen.
First series
The first series runs from 1672 AN until 1687 AN, when the Emir of Arbor had awakened from his coma. The story series starts with a follow-up story to "Arkadius and Clara: A Royal Love Story".
Second series
The second series began in 1690 and ended in 1701, just before the outbreak of the Arboric Civil War. This series of stories was more or less followed by the Jaaguzannama, in which one of the characters enters a new chapter in his life.
Third series
The third series is not a direct sequel to the second series. But when Rafi Hakimi bin Alsalam became Regent of Shireroth, the idea for new stories arose. However, the consideration was still whether to create a new series of stories under a new title or to restart a previous series of stories. The decisive factor was the complimentary remarks in the FNORDs for 2025, with specific mention of the Micras Chessboard.
