Most of the Sani vocabulary is Cosimo-Benacian in origin, but the language has also borrowed words, mostly from [[Cisamarrese]], some from [[Laqi]] and more recently [[Istvanistani language|Istvanistani]], [[Praeta language|Praeta]] and [[Babkhi language|Babkhi]].
