An Act to regulate the use of armorial achievements in the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg.
WHEREAS the Constitution of the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg makes no provision for the regulation of armorial bearings in the Royal Kingdom;
Be it decreed by His Royal Majesty, King August Charles II, by and with the advice and consent of the Government and Peoples of Gotzborg, in this Chamber of Deputies here assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Short Title
1. This Act may be cited as the Coat of Arms Act.
The King's Prerogative
2. The Authority to grant coats of arms and other ensigns armorial is vested solely in the Crown.
3. His Royal Majesty, the King, may appoint agents to assist in the process of designing ensigns armorial, but retains the sole right to grant said ensigns to worthy and eminent individuals.
Arms Used Without Authority
4. Any citizen that uses a coat of arms in the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg that has not been lawfully granted, confirmed, or matriculated by His Royal Majesty, shall be subject to a fine and punishment as determined by the Home Office.
5. Any arms displayed in the Royal Kingdom by a citizen that have not been lawfully granted, are subject to defacement or confiscation by an agent of His Royal Majesty.
Confirmation of Arms
6. Any coat of arms or ensign armorial not granted lawfully in the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg may be confirmed by His Royal Majesty, at his discretion, for use in the Royal Kingdom.
7. Any coat of arms or ensign armorial so confirmed by His Royal Majesty shall constitute a lawful ensign armorial within the Royal Kingdom and may be used as though granted by His Royal Majesty.
Courtesy to Foreign Armigers
8. Any foreign citizen using arms in the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg in accordance with the laws of his or her own nation shall not be subject to these regulations.
9. If a foreign citizen is visiting Gotzborg, they shall enjoy the courtesy of His Royal Majesty and de facto recognition of his or her arms while residing in Gotzborg.
Fraudulent Use of Arms
10. Any person using the ensigns armorial of another to defraud will be subject to fine and/or imprisonment at the discretion of His Royal Majesty.
